Kid-Favorite Superfood Smoothie

Smoothies can be a convenient way to pack in a lot of nutrition, especially on busy mornings. The mango makes this thick and sweet, while the hemp and flax seeds add omega-3s and fiber. Using fortified soy milk adds protein, calcium, and vitamin D, making this a well-rounded breakfast or snack.

Ingredients

8 oz fortified soy milk

1 cup mango chunks (fresh or frozen)

1 large handful kale (thick stems removed, fresh or frozen)

1 tbsp hemp hearts

1 tbsp ground flax seed

Ice as desired (optional)

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until desired consistency, adding more ice to make it thicker if needed.
  2. Serve immediately.
